Welcome Derrick Rowe
We are very excited to introduce you to our newest team member, Derrick Rowe, Assistant Controller for The Registry.
Derrick is a Senior Accountant and Military Veteran with 7 years of experience in the field of accounting. In previous roles, Derrick managed and executed all accounting functions in fast-paced and dynamic finance divisions at Security Innovation Inc. and The Strong Group, both companies located in Massachusetts.
Derrick holds a BS in Business Studies in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University and an MBA from Fitchburg State University in Accounting.
Here at The Registry, Derrick will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reporting and key metrics; he will manage AP and AR; he will coordinate with external auditors; assist in the development and preparation of the annual budget; and he will develop and maintain internal controls, guidelines, and procedures.
Prior to Derrick entering the world of accounting, Derrick served in the United States Navy for 7 years, as a Hospital Corpsman. He led, mentored, and trained a 10-person team conducting healthcare for over 1200 Marines and Sailors in support of global operations while assigned to the Logistics Division in Okinawa Japan. During Derrick’s years of service, he received The Navy and The Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and The Blue Jacket of the Year (2007).
Outside of work, Derrick enjoys all sports, especially ice hockey. An avid runner, Derrick has run in multiple marathons including Chicago, New York, our own Boston Marathon, and the US Marine Corps in Washington, DC.
Derrick and his wife Vanessa live in the seaside community of Gloucester, MA with their two children Lily and Jack.
