The REGISTRY has moved through a period of significant transition as it has become a ZRG Company. I would like to provide some perspective on how and why this transition happened. I would also like to identify some of the individuals who were key players in this transition. The individuals that I will identify were inspirational in the fulfillment of their respective roles and all of them were essential to the successful transformation of The REGISTRY into a ZRG Company.
The first two individuals had been The REGISTRY’s primary “rain-makers” for an extended period. Their productivity and commitment to our growth and expansion has set the pace and has been inspirational for their colleagues who have tended to emulate their work ethic. As a result, the growth and expansion of The REGISTRY was a significant factor that caught the attention and attracted the interest of ZRG. These two individuals have now become the next generation of REGISTRY leadership—CEO Kevin Mathews and President Amy Miller. It is predictable that their leadership style will incorporate the dynamic of “do as I do.” Together they will be an excellent executive team as they will continue to support each other and all their colleagues.
The Members of The REGISTRY who serve as interims have also fulfilled an inspirational role that was essential to the transformation of The REGISTRY into a ZRG Company. My partner George Matthews and I have always said that our members represent The REGISTRY’s greatest asset. The fact that The REGISTRY is a unique membership-based firm certainly helped to attract the interest of ZRG. What is more, our members have established our reputation as the GOLD STANDARD interim placement firm in American higher education. In the fulfillment of their interim engagements, they have established an ethos of wanting to give back to the Academy. Most importantly, in their interim assignments they have established a reputation for achieving the best results—a reputation that helped to inspire The REGISTRY’s transition into a ZRG Company.
Finally, ZRG CEO Larry Hartmann from the very beginning of our conversations recognized the potential synergies that would result for The REGISTRY and ZRG. In his leadership capacity at ZRG, Larry plans to expand the utilization of interim executives across the globe. He also envisions that The REGISTRY will fulfill an essential role in that global expansion. Throughout the process Larry’s visionary leadership was recognized and well-received by The REGISTRY. As a result, Larry helped to inspire the STRONGER TOGETHER model for the unification of ZRG and The REGISTRY.
In addition to Larry, Kevin, and Amy, I would be remiss if I failed to mention both our Staff Members and our Senior Consultants as both have been totally committed to the success of The REGISTRY and are now positioned to make the same kind of commitment to ZRG.
So, the stage has now been set for a new chapter in the history of The REGISTRY as it is in positioned to advance with inspiration as a ZRG Company.
