1943 – 2025
We are saddened to share the passing of Dr. Robert I. Bolla, former chair of the Department of Biology at Saint Louis University, who died on July 27, 2025, at the age of 81. Dr. Bolla was a dedicated researcher and educator, known for his work on parasitic nematodes and their impact on agriculture. He served at SLU from 1989 to 2001, leading the department and contributing to national research efforts. His career also included leadership roles at Youngstown State and Bradley University. He will be remembered for his scientific contributions and commitment to higher education.
