New Directions for Theological Seminaries

“Can new strategic initiatives among theological seminaries provide valuable insights for colleges and universities?”

Session Scheduled for Saturday, November 9th @ 11:30am

The Registry, with its large number of experienced higher education administrators, is increasingly being called upon to serve theological seminaries. Registry members have already been placed for service in eight different seminary leadership and administrative roles. Members are being asked to transfer their skills and experiences from colleges and universities to seminary campuses, especially as colleges, universities, and seminaries are pursuing “new directions.” What are the similarities? What are the differences? Can experiences be easily translated? In turn, can experiences in serving theological seminaries provide insights into serving at colleges and universities?

Facilitator: Bill Nelsen, Senior Consultant, The Registry, and Former Interim President, Episcopal Divinity School
