NASCUMC 2018 Annual Meeting

Vice President Amy Miller represented The Registry at this year’s National Association of Schools & Colleges of The United Methodist Church annual meeting. While there, Amy had the opportunity to visit with President Scott Miller (Virginia Wesleyan University), Dr. Pamela Balch (Senior Consultant, Academic Search, Inc.), and Registry member Dr. Wanda Bigham (Senior Consultant, Academic Search, Inc.).  

Registry Member Dr. Norman Smith Presented Award

On June 8th, Dr. Norman Smith was presented with the Stephen J. Trachtenberg Award for Leadership in Higher Education by the American Association of University Administrators (AAUA). The award is conveyed to one person annually citing the recipient for leadership in higher education. Norman was invited to this year’s AAUA annual Leadership conference as the keynote speaker. 

Norman most recently served as the Interim President of Elmira College on behalf of The Registry from September 2015 until August 2017. 

Registry Member Dr. Mary Ellen Jukoski Presented Award

Earlier this year, Dr. Mary Ellen Jukoski was honored with the 2018 Distinguished Woman in Higher Education Leadership Administrative Award from the Connecticut ACE Women’s Network in Higher Education (CTAWN). This annual award is meant to “recognize and honor women who have distinguished themselves by providing outstanding leadership to women in their institutions, in their profession, and in society at large.”

Mary Ellen currently serves as the President of Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, Connecticut. 

Registry Member Named President of USC’S Trojan Football Alumni Club

Registry Member Dr. Robert Lee Brown was recently named as President of the University of Southern California’s Trojan Football Alumni Club. While at USC, Bob played and roomed at various points with Lynn Swann, former Pittsburgh Steeler and Pro Football Hall of Fame member, and Sam “Bam” Cunningham, a former New England Patriot and member of the Patriots’ Hall of Fame.

Bob is an Adjunct Faculty member in Graduate Homeland Security at San Diego State University and is also employed at the University of California, San Diego in the Department of Resource, Management, and Planning. 

NACUBO 2018 Annual Meeting

Registry Vice President Kevin Matthews and Senior Consultant Dr. Lucille Sansing traveled to Long Beach, California to represent The Registry at this year’s National Association for College and University Business Officers annual meeting. This is The Registry’s third year attending the NACUBO annual meeting. 

Registry Senior Consultant Travels to Cambodia

Dr. Lucille Sansing made her way half way across the world to attend to the graduation ceremony for students at the University of Cambodia Phnom Penh (in photo, top left).
