An Interview with: Dr. Richard Hansen, Galen Hench ~ Dr. Richard Hansen currently serves as the Interim Provost at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is Rich’s fourth interim assignment through The Registry. He has previously served as the interim Chief Academic Officer for the Louisiana State System, for the University of New Orleans, and for the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Galen sat down with Rich to discuss his experiences serving as an interim.

Sustaining Institutional Diversity: Valuing Micro-Colleges and the Lessons They Teach

Article by: Dr. Susan Henking ~ In 2012, Dr. Susan Henking became President of Shimer College—a micro-college with fewer than 100 students. Susan's five years as President illuminated the crucial roles these institutions play in the higher-education ecosystem. And while some critics question the feasibility of micro-colleges, there are key stakeholders who support them. Susan's experiences reinforce that there are many lessons that micro-colleges can teach us, regardless of the size of the institution we represent.
